March Class Projects

I can't believe it's been so long since I have posted. I have been busy working on several projects, but I haven't finished any of them. I promise I'll post them as soon as I finish them.

Here are some of the projects for my March class. We will be working with some new products from the Spring and Summer Collection and from the Occasions Mini Collection that comes out on March 1st. We will be using the Sticky Cuts Letters from the S/S Collection and we will be using the Die-cut Blooms and the A Perfect Day rub-ons.

Making these samples was my first experience with rub ons, but I have been making projects with them for the last few days, so I will have some more samples and some tips for using rub-ons later today.

Class will be on March 14th at 6:30 pm and space is limited, so email me soon to reserve your spot!

Another Valentine's Project

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Here is another Valentine's project that I made. They are Stabucks Frappichino bottles. I saw them on several other blogs and I knew I just had to make some. I am not a coffee drinker, but luckily my sister who loves to drink frappichinos came to visit soon after I saw the idea, so I "forced" her to drink some while she was here!

I made these for my daughter's pediatrician and nurse since her six month check up was on Tuesday. I cut a strip of vellum paper that I scalloped using the Slit punch and attached that to a strip of Berry Bliss Designer paper. I wrapped the vellum/DP around the bottle and attached it with Sticky Strip. For the top I stamped the flower with the heart center from Happy Heart Day on Naturals card stock and water colored using my Aqua Painter and inks. I punched the flower out with the 1 inch circle punch and mounted it on an Almost Amethyst circle punched with the 1 1/4 inch circle. I attached that to a Purely Pomegranate scallop circle with dementionals and then attached all of that to the lid. For the tag, I stamped the mouse from Happy Heart Day and water colored again using my Aqua Painter and inks. I mounted this on Almost Amethyst and Purely Pomegranate card stock and tied it to the bottle with Pretty in Pink Grosgrain Ribbon.

Valentine's Decoration

I didn't have a chance to stamp using the new stuff the UPS man delivered until yesterday and I had to work on my taxes today (fun, fun!). I have had this idea in my head for a while. I thought I had ordered the Berry Bliss Designer Paper in the first order I placed from the new catalog and I came up with the idea while I was waiting for my order to arrive, but alas, when if finally did arrive, there was no Berry Bliss paper. I was so disappointed! Now I have my Berry Bliss paper and I've had a chance to make the project and it's hanging in the doorway to my kitchen.

Supplies for this project are:
Berry Bliss Designer Series Paper
Close to Cocoa Card Stock
Pretty in Pink Card Stock
Purely Pomegranate Card Stock
On Board Simon Upper
Glue Stick
Crop-A-Dile
White Grosgrain Ribbon

Since I am finished with my taxes, I am off to see how much stamping I can get done before my daughter gets up from her nap!

Stamping Projects

I am not so patiently awaiting my friend in Brown (aka: the UPS man). I already know what I want to do with some of the new toys he is bringing me, but until he arrives, I thought I would share the projects I made when my friend Sam came over to stamp on Friday.

First, I made a bookmark for my friend Lindsey from my parenting group. Lindsey lent me the book for our book club, so I made her a bookmark as a thank you. The card stock is folded with two magnets inside so that you can clip the bookmark to the page and it won't fall out. The only problem is that I have a tendency to return my library books with the bookmark still in the book! Well, there are a few people in town who have a really nice bookmark with an E on it! Supplies for this project: Regal Rose and Naturals White card stock; Certainly Celery, Regal Rose, Almost Amethyst and Chocolate Chip classic ink; Polka Dots & Petals and Letterpress Alphabet (sadly this one is retired, but I just can't let it go).

My next project was a scrapbook page. The idea came from the Stampin' Up! demos website which is loaded with project ideas for us. I changed the supplies a little, mostly the colors since the original was for a boy. I read a post on another stamping blog about not hording stamping stuff and I am guilty of that so I decided to dust off the On Board Simon Upper letters that I won as a prize at Stampin' Up! Convention in July. I hadn't even opened the package yet! I used my Crop-A-Dial to punch a hole in the K and used a Ice Rhinestone Brad. (Can I just say that I LOVE the CAD! It punches through the On Board chipboard like it was a piece of paper.) Other supplies I used were:

Stamps: Nursery Necessities and Canvas Background

Card Stock: Almost Amethyst, Certainly Celery, Barely Banana, Kraft and Whisper White

Classic Ink: Almost Amethyst, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, Barely Banana and Regal Rose

Accessories: On Board Simon Upper, Ice Rhinestone Brads, Star and Corner Rounder Punches, Almost Amethyst and Certainly Celery Prints Designer Series Paper, Crafter's Tool Kit
