Kristina's Color Inspiration

I know, I haven't been posting very regularly, and now two posts in one day! I thought I had missed the deadline for Kristina's Color Inspiration challenge, so I wrote another post this morning and then Kristina happened to post something that mentioned that the deadline wasn't until tonight! So here is my last minute card for the challenge.

Materials for this card are: Heartfelt Thanks stamp set; So Saffron, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White card stock; Tangerine Tango Textured card stock; So Saffron and Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin' Pads; Top Note die; 5/8 inch Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon.

Dollar Store Finds

I mentioned a while back that I found some cool stuff at the dollar store that I was planning to use for stamping projects. I thought I would share two of them with you today. I have one more thing that I haven't used yet, but I've got an idea of what I want to do with it, and one other thing I bought and used to make a hostess gift at a workshop, so I don't have a picture of that one.

This is a neat little candle in a tin. It's an unscented candle which I like. I just jazzed it up with the Bright Delights rub-ons and I punched some Kiwi Kiss textured card stock with the 1 3/4 inch circle punch to cover up the label that is on the lid.

I also picked up this mug and used the Bright Delight rub-ons with it. This would make a great teacher gift filled with candy. Just remember that if you use rub-ons with dishware, you need to hand wash them. Detergent for your dishwasher is too abrasive and eventually the rub-ons will wear off.

I intended for this to be my card for Kristina's Color Inspiration last week, but we had a very busy weekend and I never got the chance to photograph the card or write the post. I did have tons of fun playing with my new Big Shot. Now I just have to figure out how to store everything!

Here are two of the cards we will be making at my March class. I used the Button Bouquet and the Fresh Favorites I buttons on these cards. We'll also be using the new corduroy buttons and the Bead Duo. Normally we only make five cards in my classes, but this month we'll be making SIX because I just couldn't help myself!

Classes are Saturday March 14th at 10 am and Wednesday March 18th at 9:30 am. If you want to join us for this fun class click one of the links below to register. The class fee is $20.

Color Inspiration

I love the colors in this week's Color Inspiration! I love to use pink and brown together. My card for this week was really quick for me to make. I used the Nursery Necessities stamp set and I used the Button Bouquet buttons which I just recently got for the class I am offering this month. I'll have a sneak peek on Monday of cards we will be making, so come back to check it out!

I was so excited that I actually got to go outside to take this picture. It's 65 degrees right now and it's supposed to be in the 70's tomorrow and Sunday! The ironic thing about that is that we had 6 inches of snow on Monday. That's North Carolina in March for you.

Materials for this card are: Nursery Necessities stamp set; Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa; Pink Pirouette (regular and textured) and Whisper White card stock; Close to Cocoa Classic Stampin' Pad; Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon; Button Bouquet Designer Buttons; Scallop Edge punch; Crafter's Tool Kit; Stampin' Dimensionals; Mini Glue Dots.
