New Stamps

Tuesday the UPS man brought me the stamp sets I earned for free for my sales and recruiting during Sale-a-Bration. I was so excited to get some new sets! I decided to wait to create my card for this week's color inspiration until I had my new stamps.
This week we could choose our specific colors. I chose to use Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, So Saffron, Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White.

Materials for this card are: Good Friend stamp set; Riding Hood Red, So Saffron, Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White card stock; Bella Rose DSP; Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron and Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin' Pads; Scallop Edge Punch; Jumbo Eyelets; Crop-a-dile; white gel pen; Stampin' Demensionals.

April Sheet Load Card

I've mentioned before how much I love Sheet Load of Cards and this is my version of the April card. We made this card at Stamp Club last night and everyone loved it. If you want to be part of my stamp club be sure to email me for more info!

One of the things I love about Stampin' Up!s products is how easily everything coordinates. I decided to use two of the patterns in the Bella Rose Designer Series paper and I chose the colors of my card stock from colors in the DSP. The Button Bouquet buttons also coordinate with the DSP. So easy!

Materials for this card are: Heard from the Heart stamp set; Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White card stock; Riding Hood Red Classic Stampin' Pad; Bella Rose DSP; Pretty in Pink grosgrain ribbon; Corner Rounder punch; Button Bouquet designer buttons; Glue Dots.

2 Sketches Card

It's been a really long time since I have actually created a card using a sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You. I look at the sketch every week, I just never get around to actually making the card.

I didn't set out to necessarily create a masculine card, but that is how the card turned out. That's a good thing, since I usually need masculine birthday cards. Most of the cards I make are very flowery and feminine.

Materials I used for this card are: Party Hearty stamp set; Basic Gray, Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy and Whisper White card stock; Not Quite Navy Classic Stampin' Pad; Kiwi Kiss Patterns DSP; Bashful Blue Striped Grosgrain ribbon; Stampin' Dimesionals.

Mini Note Cards

I made these note cards as a make and take when I had a booth at a vendor fair last month. I really love making these 3x3 cards because they make great gift enclosure cards. I will be using these with the end of the year thank you gifts for my daughter's teachers. I can't believe that there are less than six weeks of school left! I have no idea what the gift is going to be, but hey, at least I have the card to go with it!

Materials for the cards are: Pocket Silhouettes stamp set; In Colors Textured Card Stock, Whisper White, Not Quite Navy and Chocolate Chip card stock; Kiwi Kiss Patterns and Bella Rose DSP; Chocolate Chip and Riding Hood Red Classic Stampin' Pads; Scallop Square and 1 1/4 Inch Square Punches.

More With the Top Note Die

And another stamp club card! One of the stamp club members was interested in the Top Note, so we made this card just for her.
I just realized that I keep making cards using Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip. I hope you're not getting tired of those colors! You'll have to put up with them for at least one more day because the projects for tomorrow's post also use these three colors. I promise after tomorrow I'll change it up a bit!
Materials for this card are: Heard from the Heart and Pick a Petal stamp sets; Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze and Whisper White card stock; Chocolate Chip and Riding Hood Red Classic Stampin' Pads; Big Shot and Top Note Die; Button Bouquet Designer Buttons; Mini Glue Dots.

My Sister's Birthday Card

Wednesday was my sister's birthday and hopefully she got her card already since I am showing it to you now!
I created this card using only paper that was already cut and sitting on my desk waiting to be used. I really need to clean my desk again which is one of the reasons I decided to use what was already out for this card instead of getting out something new.
Materials for this card are: On Your Birthday and Party Hearty stamp sets; Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red, Whisper White and Baja Breeze Textured card stock; Rose Red, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss and Night of Navy Classic Stampin' Pads; Silver Brads; Crafter's Tool Kit; Stampin' Dimensionals.

Here is another peek at projects for my April Big Shot Class. This card is made by folding a piece of Kraft card stock, then cutting it with the Top Note die. I think that it makes a fun little card!

Materials for this card are: Heartfelt Thanks stamp set; Kraft, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White and Baja Breeze Textured card stock; Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze Classic Stampin' Pads; Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon; Big Shot and Top Note Die; Stampin' Dimensionals.

Simply Said Card

This is a card we made a few months ago in my stamp club, but I realized that I never posted it. I saw a similar card on a blog and really liked the look of the card. I've had this set for a while so it was nice to have a new idea for using it.

Materials for this card are: Simply Said stamp set; Pretty in Pink, Perfect Plum and Mellow Moss card stock; Staz-On pad and Perfect Plum Classic Stampin' Pad; Pretty in Pink, Perfect Plum and Mellow Moss Stampin' Write Markers; Pretty in Pink grosgrain ribbon; Crafter's Tool Kit.

April Class Sneak Peek

For my April class, we'll be making projects using the Big Shot. I've been having so much fun creating these projects! We'll be making some cards but we'll also be making things other than cards and of course I'll have some samples of even more things you can do with your Big Shot!

This is one of the projects that we will be making this month. I saw this idea on another demonstrator's blog. It's an id tag for your bag. Demonstrators always need bag tags. When we go to convention or Leadership we get a bag as a gift from Stampin' Up!, but we have to put some kind of identification on them because there are thousands of other demonstrators walking around with the exact same bag.

If you want to learn how to use the Big Shot or just come learn to make some nifty projects, join me for my Big Shot class. I will have class on Wednesday, April 15th at 9:30 am (If you're not in line at the post office mailing your taxes!) and on Saturday, April 25th at 10 am. The class cost is $20, but you can take the class for free if you purchase a Big Shot from me.

Surprise Card

The instructions for this card were in the monthly magazine Demonstrators receive from Stampin' Up! and I thought it was just too cute. We made this card in my stamp club last month.

And speaking of stamp club, I have room in a club that will be starting soon, so if you would like to join us, email me.

Okay, back to the card. This card is really cool because the top section twists up to reveal the greeting! I started with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of Kraft card stock. The Old Olive piece is adhered to the card, but the So Saffron piece is only attached with the Chocolate Chip Corduroy Button (which is really more of a brad than a button) so that it can be moved to reveal the greeting.

Materials for this card are: Party Hearty and Hugs & Wished stamp sets; Kraft, Old Olive, Rose Red, So Saffron and Whisper White card stock; Rose Red Classic Stampin' Pad; Rose Red and Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Markers; Scallop Edge Punch; Rose Red grosgrain ribbon; Chocolate Chip Corduroy Buttons; Crop-A-Dile; Stampin' Dimensionals.

Isn't this the cutest?

I have had the idea to make this since before I ordered my Big Shot and I finally got it done this weekend! This is a plain white onesie that I bought at Target. I used heavy duty Wonder Under and ironed it on to the wrong side of the fabric and then cut the shapes using the Big Shot and the Big Bold Cupcake die. After I cut the pieces of fabric I ironed them on to the onesie and zig-zag stitched around the edges with my sewing machine.

This is too small for my daughter, but I think that I may have to buy some t-shirts in her size and make one! I also think I need to get some other dies to make more onesies and t-shirts. I think the snow flake would be cute on a long sleeved t-shirt or sweatshirt for the winter!

Color Inspiration

I love the color inspiration this week from Kristina Werner! It comes from this cute winter hat. I so glad we are done with winter hats, though. It's supposed to be in the 70's this weekend and I hope the warmer weather is here to stay!

I had to laugh, though, when I saw the colors for this week. I had been looking at the new Australia/New Zealand catalog (online) and saw a card I really liked using the exact same colors. I haven't made the card yet, but when I do, I'll be sure to share with you!

I used my Big Shot and the Big Bold Cupcake Sizletts to make this card. I am really loving the Big Shot! This is also the card we will be making at my downline meeting this afternoon. I was a little behind in preparing and decided I might as well get both my Color Inspiration card and the make and take for my meeting done at the same time.

Materials for this card: On Your Birthday stamp set; Happy Happy Birthday Jumbo Wheel; Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White card stock; Kiwi Kiss Textured card stock; Kiwi Kiss Patterns DSP; Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze Classic Stampin' Pads; Big Shot and Big Bold Cupcake die; Stampin' Dimensionals; Crafter's Tool Kit.
